'Behind Closed Doors' is aimed between the ages 17-30 of both a male and female gender. This is because we feel that this is the age group where domestic violence is the most common and therefore this film will open the eyes to people around this age that are not aware of it. Our short is not based souly on domestic violence as it is not all obvious as to what happened in the short but it plays a part and this was a crucial thing factor for our target audience and rating.
We thought that by aiming this type of film at this age range, it caters to what this age range would most enjoy; it gives the audience a sense of thrill, tension and suspicion which is often what people within this age range are looking for in films.
The age certificate of our short is a 15, because of the connotations of domestic violence and because of our background research into the film "Enough" which is a feature length film with the plot basing around domestic violence. So my group and I decided it was fitting to rate our short the same.
