Our Production Team Members

The Members of our Production Team

(From left to right)
Deanna, Cameron, Dan, Charlotte (Me)

Deanna
Strengths: Directing, Editing, Camera Work
Deanna is proficiently strong in directing as she has the authority and presence to command a group and get them to understand what they need to do and how it needs to be done, this is a good strength with filming as everyone must understand what they are doing as to create a very good piece of media work.
Deanna's area of improvements would be focusing and sound recording, this is only down to the fact we have new camera's this year that require manual focusing for the right focal point and they also require a sound recording kit because the microphones in the camera pick up sound from the camera's workings and are not strong enough to bring high quality sound, With a bit of practice on both though this will no longer be a weakness.

Cameron
Strengths: Camera work, Editing, Sound Recording
Cameron is proficient in Camera Work and in Editing, both jobs require a steady hand a keen eye for detail which he does have making him the best person in our production team to edit and shoot particular things that others may fail in.
His area of improvement would be directing as he is not so forward to suggest ideas that could be helpful improvements or valued inputs, with a little nudging I feel he may be able to get past this and become another valued director.

Dan
Strengths: Sound recording, Camera work, Lighting
Daniel's proficient strength is sound recording and sound editing, Dan has an ear for sound being an A level music student as well and has worked with sound recording kits and the sound editing software before in AS, making him more able bodied in this area than the rest of us.
His area of improvement is camera work as he has not had much practice with the new cameras, this is a weak point he needs to work on so he can be relied on to take a good shot if the responsibility of shooting something is put into his hands.

Charlotte (Me)
Strengths: Directing, Lighting and Editing
I feel my most proficient strength is directing as I have a good imagination of how a scene can unfold and what would be the best way to portray certain things to get messages across to an audience, I am pretty good at advising how someone should do something in a helpful way but i'm not so strong of a director to force them to do something my way, I much prefer to hear everyone else's opinion before a decision is made about certain things. My strength would be that i'm a director that knows how to work with what everyone wants, this is why i think Deanna is also able to be another director and we can joint direct this film short together without any conflict or hard feelings.
My area of development however would have to be the focusing with the new camera equipment, with a little more practice and an exterior monitor hooked up to it, I should be able to get the hang of using the focus manually.
